Body Piercing Questions
YES, always!!!
Yes, as long as they are 18 years old and have a state I.D. to prove it. No one is allowed in the studio without an I.D., even if they are only there to watch!! Anyone under 18 must be with Their parent to even be on the premises.
You should not do either until your piercing is completely healed!! Tanning an unhealed piercing could lead to permanent discoloration of the piercing sites. Your unhealed piercing is a portal for virius and bacteria that live in pools, hot tubs, lakes, ponds, and even your own bathtubs!!! (Some that you can never get rid of once you contract them!!!)
Mandi is the only artist properly educated at our studio to pierce genitals. Yes, we pierce both male and females. Call for Mandi's schedule.

Well it depends on the piercing. Most facial piercings take 3-5 months, tongue 4-6 weeks, navel takes 6-10 months to fully heal. Call our studio for specifics. Of course your life style has alot to do with healing time as well. We recommend no drug use, eating well, surrounding yourself with positive people, and regular sleeping habits!!!
We will pierce 15, 16, and 17 year old with parental consent, however we have very strict guide lines you must follow. The minor must have a valid state issued I.D. card or Driver's Lincense,(NOT A SCHOOL I.D.) the parent or guardian signing must also have a valid state issued form of I.D. The last names and addresses must match. If they do not, please call to figure out what other documentation you will need to bring with you.
You aren't the only one....Please let the trained professionals at Liberty Tattoo guide you through your proceedure with confidence and compassion. We remember when we got our first piercings, and we treat our clientel like we would like to be treated.
If you read the warning section on those products they will read: "Do not apply to a deep or puncture wound." Surface to surface in the body is considered deep and a puncture wound. If the manufacturer doesn't want you to use it on your piercing, there must be a good reason. For instance, Bactine is very harsh and constant repeated use on the skin will utlimately cause chemical irritation and slow down your healing time. Any ointment is petroleum based and will sufficate the piercing sites, not allowing the lymph and other fluids to come out of the piercing or not allowing pH balanced fluids to clean out the healing cells. DON'T USE EITHER!!!
Yes, there is a $5.00 fee for jewelry change. We have the right to refuse anyone. If we think your piercing is a liabilty to us, we may refuse you service, but will educate you as to how you can improve your condition.
We look at every client before piercing to decide if the they have the correct anatomy to have their piercing heal well. We could pierce anyone, should we? Some people just don't have good anatomy to heal without scarrring or rejection, and we will be honest with you and educate you as to the risks associated with your anatomy.
Tattooing Questions
As long as it is not on the hands, face or feet, we offer free touch up with all of our tattoo work. You have 4 months from the day of being tattooed to receive free touch up, which was included in the original price of your tattoo. 4 months is ample time to know if the tattoo needs any additional "tweaking." Touch ups are only done on weekdays by the artist that originally did you work. Call for your artists schedule.
We love cash, but we also accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Sorry, we do not accept American Express or checks!!!
It depends on what the art is, how big it is, where on your body you put it, and how you color it. Our shop minimum is $50.00. We will be happy to give you free estimates, just stop into the studio. You can get quoted by the piece or by hourly rate.
As of January 1st, 2006 the legal age will be lowered to 18, but until then the legal age is 21. Please call us regarding parental consent.
You should not submerge your tattoo for at least 2 weeks, and your skin is an open wound for at least the first 1-2 weeks, exposure to virus or bacteria will result in infection. And at least 2 weeks before you can apply sun block to your tattoo, which you should always do when exposing your tattoo to sunlight.
We use the same sterilization techniques that dentists and hospitals use. We have a Midmark M7 Speedclave (hospital sterilizer)on the premises. Everything is autoclaved(sterilized) before use and destroyed after use. Each artist sets up their stations in front of the client. Needles are opened in front of each client as well. We also have all of our spore testing results available for review on the premises as well. All of our artist are required to take blood borne pathogen/cross contamination seminars every 2 years. Everything that is not autoclavable is single use, such as dental bibs, ink, A&D, etc.
OF COURSE!!! It is the service industry and think about it logically. You would tip a waitress 10- 20 % for a meal that will be gone with in 24 hours, a tattoo lasts forver. The more you tip, the less it hurts!! (kidding of course!)
Pain is relative. Some people equate the sensation of being tattooed to that of a bee sting or cat scratch. The outline is generally the worst and then as your endorphin and adrenaline kicks in, the mild discomfort lessens.
Of course we will, we have very talented artist to assist your vision becoming reality. Sometimes we may require a $20.00 deposit which will come off of the price of your tattoo or you can take the art work with you.
Yes we will but there is alot to take into consideration. First we DO NOT guarantee work on the feet, hands or face which means that our free touch up policy will not apply. If the tattoos heals poorly you will need to pay every time it needs to be touched up, where as any other part of the body is guaranteed with free touch up. When you get your feet tattooed you cannot have socks or shoes rubbing on the tattoo at all for the first 2 weeks. We also advise that you keep off your feet as much as possible and keep your foot elevated during the first 2 weeks. Tattoos on the feet tend to spread or become fuzzy after healing due to the skin being thin and the weight of your body bearing down on it causing the ink to migrate sometimes.
